Bruno Cidra

The point of departure of Bruno Cidra’s (Lisbon, 1982) work is the synthesis between Sculpture and Drawing. His iron and paper sculptures explore the tension and dialogue between the opposing materialities and the specific values attached to each field, such as resistance and fragility, weight and weightlessness, permanence and transience. Taking the exhibition space as a compositional space, Bruno Cidra’s Sculpture draws new paths, rhythms and framings, new axis and visual references, areas of concentration and dispersion, constantly inviting the viewer to a readjustment of his relation with space.
