Pablo Accinelli

Buenos Aires, 1983.
Lives and works in Sao Paulo.

The work of Pablo Accinelli explores the functional and poetic relationship between objects and tools. The themes adressed by his artistic practice contain a simultaneously subtle and precise reference to the mundane objects that surround us. The practical application of this perspective  results in the reduction of the elements and objects to their quantifiable base, leading to a manipulation of the way we witness them.

Recent shows include: “Alrededor” (Luisa Strina Gallery, Sao Paulo, 2011); “Inminencia das poéticas” (Bienal de Sao Paulo, 2012); “When Attitudes Became Form Become Attitudes” (CCA Wattis, São Francisco, 2013); “No importa mi nombre” (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Buenos Aires, 2013; “Fleeting Imaginaries” (The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, Miami, 2014); “United States of Latin America” (Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, 2015); “Future Light – Escaping Transparency” (Bienal de Viena, MAK, 2015); “Extension du domaine du jeu” (Nouveau festival, Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2015); “Técnicas Pasivas” (Gregor Podnar Gallery, Berlin, 2016); “Glory hole” (Jaqueline Martins gallery, 2016); “Por aqui tudo é novo” (Instituto Inhotim, Minas Gerais, 2016); “Cae la tarde” (Luisa Strina Gallery, Sao Paulo, 2016); “Lontano” (The Goma Gallery, Madrid, 2017), “Unanime noite” (Museo Iberé Camargo, Porto Alegre, 2018), “Nubes de paso” (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, 2018) and Duraciones (Galería Bruno Múrias, Lisboa, 2018).
