Marco Franco

Alongside his recognised musical career, MARCO FRANCO (Lisbon, 1972) has been developing a rigorous practice within the visual arts, more precisely in the expanded fields of drawing and sculpture. Although rather silent, his work is allied to an enigmatic consistency and constant mutation, building in its whole a fascinating universe of abstract arabesques and imperfect rhythms – both in the manual trace through drawing and in the delicate modulation of the sculptural matter. Based on experimentation, they represent an independent, minimalist work – idyllic in the graphic organisation and lightness to which they seem to rise.

The following exhibitions can be highlighted: Obiustromos (Galeria BRUNO MÚRIAS, Lisbon, 2023), Desenhos e outras formas (Jardins Efémeros, Viseu, 2021), Parágrafo (Galeria Zé dos Bois, Lisbon, 2020.
